The human face is a record of the time one has lived and a map of the heart one holds. The face refers to the front part of a person's head (the area where the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. are located), and etymologically, it combines 'eol' (spirit, soul) and 'gul' (passage), meaning 'a passage where the soul dwells and passes through.' Beyond simply referring to appearance, it signifies a place where the heart and character are revealed and is an important part that distinguishes one person from another. Another expression is that a person's face is, first, the area where the visual, olfactory, gustatory, and auditory organs are gathered, and second, the most noticeable part of the body structure that represents a person's image, and when we say, 'Where did we meet?' the face is the place where identity can be confirmed.

'Face' is a pure Korean word that combines 'eol' (spirit, soul) and 'gul' (hole, passage), originally meaning 'the shape path where the spirit passes.' In other words, it signifies a passage for the soul. 'Gul' is the shape that reveals that spirit. The social significance of the face determines the first impression and serves as a criterion for distinguishing people. Therefore, the face is not just a simple appearance but a place where a person's heart and spirit are revealed. 'Eol' is invisible, but it permeates that person's thoughts, beliefs, and love. According to the Korean dictionary, the face is 1. the front part of the head that includes the eyes, nose, mouth, forehead, chin, and both cheeks, or its overall outline or appearance. Facial features (顔面). Appearance (容顔). and 2. the place where a person's emotions or face is revealed is the front of the head.

The face reflects an individual's mental state, and by looking at a person's face, one can identify their ethnicity. It reflects the spirit of that ethnicity. The shape of a person's face is generally divided into four types: long or short shapes, and round or angular shapes. A person's impression is primarily determined by the external shape (contour) of the face and is influenced by the structure (shape and arrangement of the eyes, nose, mouth). In particular, one can discern a person's character through their eyes. The beauty of women! Among the beauty of people, the mental significance of the face is a symbolic area that represents a person's mental state, character, and vitality. The deeper the faith, the more peace resides on the face, and the more gratitude a person has, the more light shines in their expression.

The Bible, Proverbs 15:13 states, 'A joyful heart makes a cheerful face.' A beautiful face is not just about radiant skin but a reflection of a shining heart. Today, my face, and all the faces I meet, shine with love, are colored with gratitude, and peaceful prayers beautify the face. What is beauty? The beauty of the exterior and the beauty within (character/heart), the beauty inherited from parents, the tall stature and handsome face, keeping up with the pace of change these days can be overwhelming, but observing the changes resulting from it is also an interesting endeavor. When it comes to women's beauty, the face is the first thing that comes to mind; the first impression is the most important.

To maintain a beautiful face, one must take care of oneself. For health, it is essential to have a lifestyle (adequate sleep, hydration, balanced diet, exercise) and systematic skincare (moisturizing, sun protection, cleansing), along with a positive and confident attitude and neat styling to achieve completion. It is important to cultivate both the inner and outer self while expressing one's individuality, and I believe it is beneficial to actively utilize professional help for cosmetic surgery, which began to help those injured during World War I, such as modern medical techniques for the inherited face from parents, nose surgery, eye surgery, jaw surgery to change facial contours, and orthodontics.

In conclusion, a beautiful heart that knows how to be satisfied and grateful for oneself is the greatest beauty. Beauty, especially 'the beauty of women, is the eternal hope of humanity.' The beauty received from parents and the beauty cultivated through life is true beauty. 'No matter how beautiful a flower is, it should only be a human flower.' To achieve facial beauty, it is important to eat well, sleep well, and have good bowel movements. Beautiful and healthy lifestyle habits include, first, drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep. Second, moderate exercise, stretching, and regular exercise to aid blood circulation and eliminate waste. Third, consuming beneficial foods like vegetables and fruits, and supplementing nutrients like vitamins and minerals is even better.
